Highlights from March

We had over 100 parents at our PTO meeting, on March 4th. Mrs. Brooks shared information about future testing (Terra Nova, AIMS, AZELLA, DIBELS, and District Writing Assessment) and the importance of having 8 hours of sleep and eating a nutritious breakfast . Our guest speaker Mr. Carlos Arroyo presented “How to Improve your Child Education”. During the musical part of the program we had Paul Arrellano sing a Mexican song, the Girls Band Dancers performed a dance and 4th graders presented a comic play “Holiday Meal”. The meeting ended with the recognition of our students with the presentation of the Accelerated Reader and The Student of the Month awards.

Our next PTO meeting will be on Tuesday, April 8th, 5:30 p.m., at the Cafeteria

Parents you are always welcome to came to our school. We need your attendance in our PTO meetings. You can make a difference in the education of your child. Only with your help and support you child can succeed.

On February 13,14, and 19th the Humane Society gave, presentations for the Kinder / 6th grade students. The presenters talked about the care of pets, treatment of animals, and the responsibilities of owning a pet. If you have any question please call Humane Society 782-1621

Please do not drop off kids at school before 8:00 a.m. there is no supervision at that time.

Our Lost and Found Box is overflowing with sweaters and jackets, if your child lost one, please come to the office to look for it. The deadline to come and pick up your things is Friday, March 28. Items not collected will be donated to “Precious Treasures". Thank you

After school Tutoring

A friendly reminder: Classes for adults are free. You are invited to come. We are offering , arts and crafts, citizenship, GED, on Tuesday and Thursdays. If you need information please call 627-6900.
